Giving Childhood Back To Children With Cancer
We are partnering with Children’s Oncology Services Incorporated (COSI) simply because they do great work. Children’s Oncology Services Incorporated is a volunteer-driven organization that provides programs, events, and support to children and adolescents diagnosed with cancer and leukemia. COSI believes that a cancer diagnosis should not mean the end of childhood, and so do we. That’s why our contributors are funding COSI’s seven summer programs for youth, ages 7 to 19, diagnosed with cancer and leukemia. Our financial goal can provide this many programs for this many kids.
What You Receive – ACOOPSTIC EP
We also believe in the music that we make and giving it to our fans in a meaningful way. That is why The Coop’s new ACOOPSTIC EP – with a fantastic hand-drawn cover from Pat “MEERK” Marek – recorded live at Lincoln Hall in Chicago on July 4, 2012, will be released in stages.
As you contribute and the total amount donated to Children’s Oncology Services Incorporated (COSI) reaches certain goals, The Coop will release individual tracks in accordance with these goals to stream on thecoopmusic.com. When $600 is raised, the first track from the EP will be released for free online streaming, when $1,200 is raised the second track will be released, and so on with all five tracks until the total donated reaches its maximum goal of $3,000, and then the entire EP will be released for free download at thecoopmusic.com!
What You Give – The Impact
By giving you’ll be directly impacting kids diagnosed with cancer. $3,000 is equal to a week’s worth of programming for three campers.
In 2011, COSI served more than 550 campers by providing the following programs and trips:
Summer camp, Winter camp, Brain Tumor / Family Camp, Sibling Camp, Washington Advocacy Trip, Springfield Advocacy Trip, White Water Rafting Trip, Dude Ranch Trip, Disability Ski Trip, Scholarship Fund
